Plain Jane Whipped Body Cream

This is an in depth review. I am extremely sensitive to fragrances and textures, I get migraines and am very picky about the feeling of stuff on my skin. I also have highly reactive skin (MCAS). I've tried a lot of products in the past that claim to be fragrance free, but often times they still have some sort of off putting scent that makes it impossible to wear, or causes a reaction on my skin. Plain Jane is TRULY fragrance free, no hint of any smell whatsoever, no reaction on my skin either. The texture of the cream is amazing. I used to use Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana because the fragrance was light and the texture was amazing (their other creams smell way too strong so I can't use anything from them now). They discontinued it, so I was looking for something similar in texture. This cream is the closest in texture with the added bonus of shea butter. Shea butter is great on it's own, but it can feel a little heavy especially in the summer, so I tend to use that more in the winter. I would say Plain Jane Whipped Body Cream is a good compromise between plain shea butter, and Sol de Janerio cream. The texture of Plain Jane is like 95% similar to Sol de Janerio, but with the added bonus of shea butter, and honestly I think that makes Plain Jane BETTER than Sol de Janerio. It's luxurious yet light weight. It's so moisturizing! If you're not used to using shea butter it can kind of feel like it tugs at the skin, but that's because your skin is not damp enough. When you use it (Plain Jane), make sure to use it right out of the shower with damp skin, it will glide on very smoothly and absorb quickly. Heat helps melt shea butter into a nice cream, rubbing it in your hands till it's warm helps so it doesn't feel like it's tugging. If you've seen raw shea butter it's in a solid block that you melt down to put in cosmetics. You can use it plain as well but you will need to warm it up in your hands before using because it is a solidified block. It's different but once you know how to use products with shea butter you'll never go back. All in all, if you have scent and texture sensitivities, or you're looking for something similar in consistency with Sol de Janerio, this is the product for you, you will not be disappointed. I can't wait for the whipped body butters to come back in stock, I will do an in depth review once I'm able to try that as well! <3 10/10, fantastic product, I'm so relieved to find this and am excited to try more stuff.

Love that this is available fragrance free. It’s thick and moisturizing, 1 star deduction because its a smidge tough to spread and my skin is soft but it doesn’t give it that supple feeling, but that’s just personal preference. Would still recommend!

Please please please restock. I’ve been checking every week for a while now for this to be back. It is the only lotion I wear and I am down to my last bit of it.

I can’t say enough how much I LOVE this stuff! I use the unscented daily because I work for an allergist. I mix the scented body cream and oils other days. The scents are HEAVENLY!! My skin stays hydrated all day and a little goes a long way.

I love the feel of my skin while using Silk + Noir body creams & oils! It is fast absorbing and has done wonders for typical dry skin areas in the winter. Plain Jane is literally scentless, so perfect to pair with any oil(s) you choose!! Love!
